LODGE BEDROOMS

On the west side of our Main Lodge is the residential hallway. Whether you are an individual or a group planning an overnight retreat, our private Main Lodge bedrooms are a great place to stay and find rest during your time at St. Francis Springs Prayer Center.

The Main Lodge has 21 private rooms, each with its own private en suite bathroom. Each bedroom has its own unique setup, with either a window view into the woods or French doors that overlook the property and lead out to a small patio.

Rm 100 - St. Joseph

Room 100 is named for St. Joseph, the devout and faithful husband to Mary, mother of Jesus. His life encourages us to be humble and righteous.

This spacious and handicapped-accessible room features a queen bed and a twin bed, ensuring a peaceful stay for individuals or companions. In the en suite bathroom there is a walk in shower with a shower seat.

Rm 101- Augustus Tolton

Room 101 is named in honor of Fr. Augustus Tolton. He was ordained in 1886, and is known as the first African-American priest in America. He struggled long and hard against racism after growing up a slave.

Rm 102 - St. Josephine

Room 102 is named in honor of St. Josephine Bakhita, the patron saint of human trafficking. Born into slavery in Sudan, St. Josephine was freed in Italy and joined the Catholic church as a Canossian sister. She was a servant of the church who maintained a deep love of God in the face of suffering.

Rm 103 - St. Katharine Drexel

Room 103 is named in memory of St. Katharine Drexel. Born into wealth, St. Katharine gave up her wealth with the desire to serve black and indigenous Americans. She founded the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament and Xavier University, the first Catholic university in the United States for African Americans.

Room 104 is named after St. Mary, the Mother of Jesus. St. Mary is a model of deep trust and surrender to God, and from her we learn what it means to follow God.

Room 105 is named in memory of Martin de Porres. Martin was known as a gifted and often miraculous healer working in the infirmary of a Dominican monastery in Peru, caring for the homeless and slaves.

Room 106 is named in honor of St. Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus. Though not much is recorded in Scripture about Joseph, he is remembered for his grace and strength in choosing to help raise the Son of God.

Room 107 is named in memory of St. Anthony of Padua. St. Anthony was a monastic turned Franciscan giving his life to serve the poor and needy just as Christ did.

Room 110 is named after the Holy Trinity, the Divine community of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Rm 111 - Rutilio Grande

Room 111 is named after the Argentinean martyr St. Rutilio Grande. The first of many passionate advocates for the poor in El Salvador, St. Rutilio was a Jesuit priest who had a great influence on Oscar Romero’s life.

Nestled in the heart of the St. Francis Springs Prayer Center, Room 112 is dedicated to the beloved St. Therese of Lisieux. She left the world her “story of a soul”, her autobiography about surrender, gratitude and offering your “little way” to God.

Rm 113 - Brother Lawrence

Room 113 is named in honor of Brother Lawrence. The 17th-century Carmelite friar dedicated his life to serving God through his work as a cook. He learned to “practice the presence of God” in all of his daily tasks.
