Suvya Carroll

Suvya Carroll is a member of the band Meek Squad, which formed through shared rhythms of prayer and friendship at the North Street Neighborhood of Durham, NC- a community that seeks to be centered around residents with disabilities. They have released two albums of original songs rooted in contemplation and Beloved Community- I Am For You: Songs of Prayer and Peace (2020) and Hope (2024). For the past couple of years, they have had the joy of serving as the 'house band' at St. Francis Springs.

Hailing from Henderson, NC, Suvya moved to the North Street Neighborhood in 2016 where she is known for being an outgoing friend who loves community and being with people. Living with cerebral palsy, she can be found, just about any day of the week, leading with her joyful voice at Reality Ministries events, North Street daily prayer gatherings, her church, and beyond. When she started singing with Sloan and Lee it was like ‘three peas in a pod.’ She loves to laugh and smile a lot, and to have a good sense of humor. Music brings her peace.
